However, Samsung has finally learned from its mistakes and has come with a totally reshuffled device with glass & metal body along with a better camera and display than Samsung Galaxy S5. Although, not everything is that amazing and the Samsung’s own UI TouchWiz still looks weird. But, before coming to any conclusion, let’s discuss the key aspects of this beautiful device.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Review

Below are the impressive details that you need to know about Samsung Galaxy S6!

Look and Design

Until Galaxy S6, Samsung was launching all the devices with plastic body and that was the reason users shifted from Samsung to devices like HTC which offered metal body. To remain in the game, the Samsung played the brilliant card by redesigning the device and brought a perfect fusion of glass and metal.

The Device is made up of a matte aluminum alloy frame with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides of the device. The phone looks beautiful and despite having the metal body, it feels lighter while holding. Not only weight, S6 is also thinner than the S5.

Apart from looks, Samsung has also worked hard on the display part. Although the screen size is still 5.1 inches, but the quality is incredibly improved. It boasts of a super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a pixel density of 557 PPI.

Since, the display is protected by Coring Gorilla Glass 4, it can be said that Samsung Galaxy S6 has got the best display in the market.

The Camera was never an issue with the Galaxy series, but still the company has tried to improve it. The device sports a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The device is capable of shooting 4K videos without any lag and the lens has also improved from S5’s f/2.2 to f/1.9.

There is a 5 megapixel front camera which can capture wide-angle selfies and delivers amazing low light photos. Other camera features include optical image stabilization, new auto-HDR and auto white balance.

Software and Performance

One of the most criticized thing about Galaxy series devices was TouchWiz. It was thick, heavy and had lots of issues. However, thanks to Android 5.0 Lollipop and Google’s material design, the same TouchWiz now looks lighter and simpler. There are tutorials to help users to use various features like S Voice and fingerprint scanning.

Samsung has also played with the menus. It offers Multi-window mode which allows you to open two programs at once. The device no longer lags after long time usage which is possible due to the Exynos 7420 chipset and the powerful 2.1 GHz Quad-core Cortex A-57 & 1.5 GHz Quad-core Cortex A-53 processor. It is backed up by a 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and a 64- bit processor.

Storage and Battery

Despite all these amazing features, the one disappointing thing about Galaxy S6 is that there is no microSD card slot. However, the company has tried to compensate it by offering inbuilt storage up to 128GB.

The Battery is still the issue and there is nothing much to talk about. The device is supported by a non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery.

Final Verdict

Pre-booking has already started for Samsung Galaxy S6 and it is priced at INR 49,000 (32GB), INR 55,900 (64GB) and INR 61,900 (128GB). It is available in many colors like white pearl, black sapphire, gold platinum and blue topaz. With Galaxy S6, the company has got a bright chance to once again dominate the smartphone market.

It can be concluded that Samsung has reborn with the arrival of Galaxy S6 and users love the concept of glass fusion metal body. Although, the price can be an issue, but with all these features and looks, Samsung Galaxy S6 is worth to buy.
